We have openings in all nine of our picturesque and serene Cree Communities within the James Bay territories of Northern Quebec.

Openings in our English and French schools may be available in the following fields:

• Social Sciences

• Physical Education

The Cree School Board is looking for candidates who:

• Are passionate about teaching;

• Are motivated to invest in the classroom;

• Have a Bachelor’s degree and valid Canadian teaching certification.


We offer our teachers generous compensation, which includes salary, northern allowance, retention premium, end of year premium, returning premium, food transportation benefit, subsidized (furnished) housing, paid trips home, training, and more.

Ranges, premiums and benefits are subject to qualifications and collective agreement & the number of days worked within a given school year.
